Browser-Stats

According to http://marketshare.hitslink.com/report.aspx?qprid=0
the market share of MS-IE has dropped to some 85%. A german publisher of tech-magazines has a different stat: http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/68135
– On their site, 44% of the visitors used Firefox. The difference comes from the different audiences using the polled sites.

Although I am doing stats on my server only since 2 days (some
54 hours…), I thought it would be interesting to see the differences
on three of the sites I am hosting: Linuxbasics.org, Krone-Neuenburg.de and stefan.waidele.info

Linuxbasics.org – A Linux-oriented tech-site

My guess: The high rate of „unknown“ Browsers is probably due to the raised level of concern for privacy and security among linux-users and most of all linux-distributors.

stefan.waidele.info – My blog

There have been more visits to this site than I expected, but not
enough to really show the big picture…
