Peter Thoeny, TWiki, and the community #FOSwiki

When I received an E-Mail from Peter Thoeny (original author of TWiki), with the request to vote for „the open source TWiki“ in the SourceForge.net Community Choice Awards, and about a new code of conduct for twiki.org (which is claimed to make it possible to „to scale the community“) I did not remember  exactly why it made me suspicious.

But a quick search for „twiki fork“ brought FOSwiki back into memory. Seems to me that TWiki.net successfully scaled the community – but scaled it down.

After reading their „Why this fork“ page, the salutation at the end of the e-mail leaves a strange feeling:

Best regards,

Peter (on behalf of the TWiki community)

Seems like the power-play is not over, yet.
