Hello, Ruby!
Yes, I have fallen for another hype…and I will go and learn Ruby. At least I will try to.
Yesterday, I have gathered some webpages to start with and I had them all in my Firefox-Tabs. Then I closed the window…
Now I have googled for these pages again and I have found most of them (and some more). This is my bookmarklist which I will follow the next couple of days/weeks:
- The Ruby Homepage:
http://www.ruby-lang.org/
- Programming Ruby (The Pragmatic Programmer’s Guide):
http://www.rubycentral.com/book/ - why’s (poignant) guide to Ruby:
http://poignantguide.net/ruby/
- Ruby and the Web:
http://www.rubycentral.com/articles/cgi.html - The Ruby Central:
http://www.rubycentral.com/ - The Ruby Garden (Wiki):
http://www.rubygarden.org/ruby
- Test first, by Intention:
http://www.rubycentral.com/articles/pink/index.html - Four Days on Rails (PDF tutorial about Ruby on Rails aka RoR):
http://rails.homelinux.org/ - Top 12 RoR tutorials:
http://www.digitalmediaminute.com/article/1816/top-ruby-on-rails-tutorials
Now, I can close my browser-window… ![]()

I think you can add my ruby tutorial to your collection. It’s written by a professional ruby programmer.
http://www.meshplex.org/wiki/Ruby/Ruby_on_Rails_programming_tutorials
Apart from the fact that you have added it yourself by commenting, I would add it if it was completed. There is still a lot of stuff missing, isn’t it?
Sorry about that. The writer is adding content as we speak. I choose him because he is skilled at explaining technical information to non technical people. This way non programmers could have a chance to learn ruby. Also, this will be a rich tutorial it will also have web based programming examples too. If you guys have any suggestions feel free to let me know. thanks
